I’m running for city council to continue the practical, people-focused work of building a city that is affordable, sustainable, connected, and welcoming. Local government works best when it listens closely, plans ahead, and delivers real improvements residents can see and feel in their daily lives.

My priorities are rooted in a simple belief: we can protect what makes our community special while making smart investments that prepare us for the future.

Housing & Workforce Opportunity

Families, workers, young people, and longtime residents should all have a place in our city’s future. That means supporting practical housing solutions that help people maintain their homes, create more housing choices, and make it possible for residents at different stages of life to stay rooted in the community.

I will continue supporting low-interest home improvement loans, thoughtful planning that allows more housing options, and partnerships that encourage workforce and affordable units in new development. Housing policy is not just about buildings—it is about keeping our community accessible, stable, and strong.

Sustainable Transportation & Parks

Safe streets, trails, sidewalks, and parks make our city more livable. They connect people to schools, jobs, businesses, neighbors, and public spaces. I will keep advocating for transportation and park investments that improve daily life and strengthen community connection.

That includes building on models like the Koehler Road trail, identifying the next priority corridors for walking and biking, advocating for resident needs in county road and trail decisions, and pursuing grants that help deliver these projects without placing the full burden on local taxpayers.

Environmental Leadership

Environmental leadership is about protecting our quality of life today and preparing responsibly for tomorrow. Clean air, healthy trees, resilient stormwater systems, native plants, pollinator habitat, and well-managed natural resources all contribute to a stronger and more livable city.

I will continue supporting Green Step Cities progress, natural resource planning, Tree Trust partnerships, tree planting, and practical sustainability initiatives that unlock outside funding, reduce long-term costs, and leave a healthier community for the next generation.

Smart Fiscal Management

Residents deserve local government that tells the truth about costs, plans ahead, and uses public dollars wisely. Smart fiscal management means balancing needed investments with careful stewardship so today’s decisions do not become tomorrow’s burdens.

I will keep working to modernize how we pay for infrastructure, manage levy increases responsibly, pursue grants, and create fairer, more predictable funding models for streets and other essential city needs.

Safe, Healthy Communities

Every resident should feel safe, welcome, and connected in their neighborhood. Safety includes well-lit public spaces, reliable sidewalks and trails, strong parks and recreation, youth opportunities, and public health policies that support families and children.

Parks, trails, green space, and community programs are not extras—they are part of the foundation for mental health, belonging, and quality of life. I will continue supporting investments that help people connect, move safely, and thrive.

Let’s keep building a city that works for everyone. With practical leadership and a shared commitment to the future, we can make our community more affordable, sustainable, connected, and strong.
